Exhibition of Food Ingredients “Ingredients Russia 2019” Held in Moscow

On 19 – 22 February, Moscow hosted the 22nd International Exhibition of Food Ingredients “Ingredients Russia 2019” in Crocus Expo IEC. The exhibitors presented ingredients for meat, dairy, fish, confectionery, and bakery industries, raw materials for beverages, grocery, dietary, and health promoting products, as well as sport nutrition and biologically active supplements.

124 companies took part in Ingredients Russia 2019. 2,418 guests visited the exhibition, including 1,879 (78%) potential buyers who came to the exhibition to find a supplier for the products presented at the exhibition. In addition, the exhibits of Ingredients Russia were seen by 1,930 visitors of Dairy & Meat Industry exhibition and 1,558 visitors of FoodService Moscow conference and exhibition held in Crocus Expo IEC at the same with Ingredients Russia on 19 – 22 February.

The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Exposition

Manufacturers and suppliers of food ingredients from 8 countries displayed their products at Ingredients Russia 2019: Russia, China, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Turkey, and Japan. The list of exhibitors includes: Enzyme Bioscience, DRYFF, Hugestone Enterprise, KOSHER FOOD INDUSTRIES, World-way Biotech, Zhengzhou Rich Foods, V. T. Foods PVT, Bioamin, VIP TRADE LLC, Martin Bauer Group, OSNOVNOY PRODUKT LLC, Stern Ingredients Russia LLC, DONSEN FOODS, DSM, etc. DSM was among the sponsors of the exhibition.

VIP TRADE, official distributor of Fromatech Ingredients (Holland) in Russia, presented a wide range of high-quality food ingredients. The visitors learnt about the products manufactured by the company and received technical advice on their use in production.

Visterra presented extracts to manufacture functional and special-purpose food products based on innovative technologies for extraction of bioactive substances from vegetable and organo-mineral raw materials – herbs, cortex, roots, leaves, coniferous raw materials, mushrooms, peat, therapeutic muds, maral antlers, and mineral water.

Glatt Ingenieurtechnik GmbH (Germany) presented its fluidization techniques for bulk stock products of European quality at Ingredients Russia 2019. Substitution of liquids and powders with non-dusting pellets is recent trend in various industries. Pelletizing, coating, and encapsulating processes enable targeted manipulation of consumer properties of food products.

At Dryff Dried Food’s stand, the visitors of Ingredients Russia 2019 were introduced to a wide range of lyophilised fruits and berries, natural snacks, breakfast supplements, ingredients for desserts, bakery and confectionery condiments and decorations, yogurts and dairy product preparations, flavouring and colouring agents, and flavour boosters.

Business Programme

On 19 and 20 February 2019, Ingredients Russia organised a rich business programme attended by 281 professionals. 26 speakers addressed the delegates.

Session “Current State and Trends of Food Industry: Raw Materials, Ingredients, Products” was held on 19 February. The speakers assessed the current state and development trends of the food industry, addressed the Russian food ingredients manufacturers’ opportunities to secure support from the government, and touched upon the problems concerning identification of counterfeit products and ingredients, “clean label” issues, and the other matters of topical interest in the industry.

On 20 February, Ingredients Russia 2019 held “The day of food process engineer”. The speakers discussed optimisation of food manufacturing, the problems concerning the confectionary and baking, meat and dairy, and alcoholic beverage industries, and touched upon reform and further development of the food industry for the next two years.

Ingredients Russia 2020 will be held on 18 – 20 February 2020 in Crocus Expo IEC (Pavilion 1).
