Sweet potato ingredients are hot

Global introductions of food and beverage products that use sweet potato as an ingredient, flavour, or more increased by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21% for the period from 2015 to 2018, according to Innova Market Insights.

What is the index «E»?

Nobody specially invented food additives with the «E» index. The consumption of sweets in the Russian Federation in 2018 reached a record level

In 2018, on average, each Russian consumed 25.2 kg of confectionery. Such figures are given in the presentation of the Association of Confectionery Industry Enterprises (“Ascond”), which RBC familiarized itself with. The association includes the largest manufacturers that produce about 85% of Russian chocolate and about 65% of the total confectionery products produced in Russia.

The first coffee plant will be built in Crimea by 2022

A plant for the production of coffee, chicory and cocoa drinks with a capacity of 4 thousand tons of products per year will be built in the Crimea within three years. The corresponding agreement was signed on Thursday at the V Yalta International Economic Forum, reports TASS.

Exhibition of Food Ingredients “Ingredients Russia 2019” Held in Moscow

On 19 – 22 February, Moscow hosted the 22nd International Exhibition of Food Ingredients “Ingredients Russia 2019” in Crocus Expo IEC. The exhibitors presented ingredients for meat, dairy, fish, confectionery, and bakery industries, raw materials for beverages, grocery, dietary, and health promoting products, as well as sport nutrition and biologically active supplements.
