Ingredients and raw materials for beverages

The production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages requires many different ingredients. They are one of the key factors determining the quality of the final product.

Ingredients for soft drinks

Water - the basis for the production of beverages. Soft or ionized hard water is optimal. In order for the water to meet the technological requirements, it is subjected to conditioning, coagulation, filtered, and chlorinated.

The production uses the following ingredients for soft drinks:

  • Sugar - gives the drink a sweet taste and determines their nutritional value. As raw materials for beverages, granulated sugar, refined sugar or liquid sugar is used. If drinks are intended for diabetics, instead of sugar they take sugar substitutes - sorbitol or xylitol. Dietary drinks with low energy value are made with the addition of sweeteners.
  • Fruit and berry semi-finished products. They give the drink the smell and taste of natural berries and fruits and increase their nutritional value. The main raw materials for the production of beverages are concentrated and alcoholized juices.
  • Flavors - powder and liquid concentrates that enhance the taste and aroma of beverages.
  • Food acids - malic, tartaric, citric, lactic, etc. Give it a drink - for example, lemonade, a characteristic sour taste.
  • Dyes - paint colorless drinks in attractive colors for the consumer, enhance the natural shades of fruits and berries.
  • Preservatives - prolong the shelf life of products.

Ingredients for alcoholic beverages

  • Ethyl alcohol is the main ingredient of all alcoholic beverages. It is obtained from starch-containing or sugar-containing raw materials. The raw materials used for the production of alcohol, as well as the distillation technology, are decisive for the quality of beverages.
  • Aromatic compounds obtained biochemically from flowers, fruits of plants, herbs, or synthesized. Used for the production of tonic drinks and liqueurs.
  • Fruit and berry concentrates - necessary for the production of punches, tinctures, balms, liqueurs, etc.
  • Various auxiliary materials: sorbents, salt, sugar, acids, glycerin, etc.

The exhibition will feature the entire range of beverage ingredients from well-known Russian and foreign companies. All products meet the current state standards and requirements of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and will help you in the production of quality drinks in full compliance with the recipe.
